Unfortunately In July 2011 The Youth Service was withdrawn from Stillington due to the Council Spending Review,

In 2017, recognising the need for a place for the young people to socialise on a regular basis, several parents under the leadership of Rachel Swales got together and applied for funding from the Banks Wind Turbine Community Fund, and were awarded £2390.00 to fund equipment and Hall Hire, for which the community is very grateful

The Youth Club started in Sept 2017 with tremendous enthusiasm and success and within the first few months had membership of 50 young people, with several accredited parent volunteers

Young people must complete a registration form and read, agree and sign the Behaviour Policy.

Members are encouraged to participate in session planning and organising activities. have the opportunity to work towards accreditation.with the opportunity to develop their skills in teamwork, leadership and negotiation.also to evaluate sessions.

Written and verbal feedback from young people has been positive.   When asked why they attend the Centre young people stated, “It’s warm; we have a laugh, meet friends, good crack, different things to do”.
