Stillington Luncheon Club

 

 

A True Success Story

 

Held Every Tuesday 1 pm.
at Stillington Youth & Community Centre Lowson St, Stillington


 

The Idea of the Luncheon Club was initially suggested at the residents meeting in May 2003, as a way to try and meet some of the social needs of older residents.
 An Application for a grant of £3660.00 to the Community Chest Fund, which was managed by Stockton Residents and Community Group Ass, was successful and the project started on 4th. Dec 2003.

Membership quickly grew, and has maintained its popularity with approximately 25 attending each week for a hot tasty and nourishing two course meal followed by Tea, Coffee and a game of Bingo

The members have 5 bus trips per year eg. Skipton, Whitby, Lakes Tour, York, Harrogate, Alnwick Castle, Hawes, Bridlington and others, taking in various stops on the way to and from at beauty spots and places of interest.

In Nov. 2008 we welcomed a new arrival - a Commercial dishwasher donated by Stanland -Thornaby and the installation by Tristar, Our thanks and gratitude them, also to Lee Turnbull and Craig Marsden for their support in making the voluteer's work so much easier. 

The Residents Ass is very proud of the achievement in seeing the results of their work and is very grateful to all the many suppliers, volunteers and members who have contributed their time and effort into being a great team, creating....
